Each doll is unique and made from the highest quality materials, with great attention being paid to detail. Our dolls have no faces. It is for the viewer to breath character and life into the figures. I was originally looking at amulets and talismans, symbolic cultural and historical imagery which led me to feel that to put a face to each doll would be too banal and limiting. It would have dictated character instead of opening up a world of possibilities. Hand stitched pattern runs like the "clocks" on 18th Century stockings up the backs of their legs.
